Hugh Black & Sons

Established in 1987 by the late Mr Hugh Black, whose background specializing in farming prime beef cattle, proved an asset to the introduction of our butchery business.

Now run by his sons Craig and Hugh the company has grown considerably with shops in Armadale, Bathgate, Lanark, Cambuslang, Airdrie and Carluke.

This expansion was possible due to investment in a 4,000 sq ft preparation and distribution premises in Bathgate. With a dedicated staff and purpose built production areas we have achieved the highest level of EEC approval from FSA and MHS.

By selecting at Lanark and Stirling livestock markets we source the finest animals. Annually we purchase 650 cattle, 1300 lambs and 750 pigs, proving our support for Scottish farming.
